Observation Physicians of Tidewater
EPT has a growing patient observation program both through Emergency Department observation as well as Observation Physicians of Tidewater (OPT). OPT is comprised of both hospitalists and APPs who provide quality, protocoled care at a closed observation unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk.
Patient Callback
Program
The EPT Callback Program provides follow up communication for patients regarding test results not available at time of ED discharge. This program functions to ensure patients understand new results along with subsequent adjustments to care plans, if needed.
